Donations are crucial to support children and families involved in the foster care system. Through our various programs, we provide hope to children who are often faced with seemingly hopeless circumstances. By partnering with us, you can contribute to making a meaningful difference in the lives of these children.
When a family welcomes a new placement, they are often in a hurry to prepare everything, and making a meal can be challenging. You can make a difference! Consider donating today to provide a meal for a family.
Consider setting up a recurring monthly donation to ensure that a different family each month experiences the love of the community.
Birthdays are a remarkable occasion for a child, a true day of celebration! Seven Homes ensures that each child receives a gift card and a handwritten note on their birthday.
For every $20 donated, two children receive a card and a gift.
Summer Camp is an occasion for creating lifelong memories and friendships. Seven Homes offers three distinct camps annually. The season begins with Family Camp, providing families the chance to bond while staying in a cabin, enjoying nature and engaging activities. Following that is Lexi's Camp, with separate weeks dedicated to boys and girls. These children experience an overnight summer camp brimming with enjoyable educational activities and experiences that are often once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
Christmas is meant to be a season of joy, yet for many children in foster care, it can be a period of sadness due to the absence of their birth families. Seven Homes seeks to brighten these moments and alleviate the load on foster parents by collecting gifts for these children. On average, $250 is spent per child on toys, stocking stuffers, a new outfit, and a Dream Item, such as a bicycle. In 2023, 130 children received this support and the goal for 2024 is to serve 150 children. Will you join us?
Every child deserves to walk into school feeling confident. It's remarkable how a new notebook in their favorite color can boost a child's self-esteem. Seven Homes organizes two Back to School Bash events, distributing new supplies to any child in foster care within the community. Moreover, Seven Homes keeps a stock of supplies ready for children as they enter care.
Throughout the year, it's beneficial for children to engage in activities such as visiting zoos, museums, and participating in school field trips. These experiences are particularly valuable for large families with five or six children, as they alleviate concerns about the expenses associated with day outings. For certain events, we host over 200 people, which necessitates renting out the entire venue.
Become part of our mission to create lasting change in children's lives. Explore fostering, adopting, volunteering, or donating. Together, we can build a brighter future for North Carolina's children.
